Katie Ellsworth is a Speech Language Pathologist at Kalamazoo Speech Associates. Katie received both her Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Western Michigan University. For more than 13 years, she has specialized in treating children with communication challenges in early childhood and private practice settings. Katie incorporates the Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-Based (DIR)/Floortime Model into her therapy, and continues her studies in this framework. She is also trained in the Hanen, PLAY Project, PROMPT, and SCERTS (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, Transactional Supports) approaches. She highly values collaborating with a child's family, strongly believing that the more we understand a child’s entire developmental profile, the better we can treat the concerns. Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, particularly outdoors! She loves hiking, rock climbing, yoga, cooking, and reading. Katie is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed by the State of Michigan.
